Why Santa Barbara StoryLab

Nonprofits need consistent storytelling, but professional video production is time-consuming and expensive. Most organizations can't afford to hire a crew for every campaign, program update, or donor appeal.

Santa Barbara StoryLab removes that friction. A dedicated studio with a standard setup means you walk in, sit down, and record. The same lighting, cameras, and microphones are ready every time — no setup, no coordination, no surprises.

The result is a growing library of authentic content that helps donors and community members understand your impact. Not one polished video per year — a consistent stream of stories that build trust over time.

What the studio looks like

A clean, comfortable set with professional lighting, broadcast-quality microphones, and multi-camera video. Designed for calm conversations: interviews, roundtables, founder stories, program spotlights. A simple, brand-neutral background that lets your people be the focus — or bring your own branding.

How it works

  1. Pick a session type

Choose the format that fits your goal: a quick interview, a deep-dive conversation, or a multi-guest roundtable.

  2. Show up with a simple outline

We send you a prep template. No scripts needed — just a loose structure to guide a natural conversation.

  3. Record with light guidance

A production assistant handles the technical side. You focus on your story.

  4. Receive your files

Choose raw recordings, an edited episode, social clips, captions, or the full package.
